Movin’ on Up!

We’ve been busy bees at the Jordan Group with several recent promotions and new hires. As the company grows, our amazing staff continues to demonstrate its talent and dedication. Our most recent changes include two well-deserved promotions and two outstanding new hires.

Let’s start with the promotions. Nicole McRae, formerly our Accounting Manager, has been promoted to Controller. As such, she is responsible for the oversight and management of the company’s accounting functions, will work with Cary Jordan on strategic planning for the company and will prepare all company financial statements. Her eight years of industry experience (including time as a financial analyst for Energizer and audit senior for Deloitte) combined with her education from Saint Louis University have prepared her well for this exceptional transition. Congratulations, Nikki!

Next up is the newly promoted Operations Manager, Michele Christian, formerly our Office Manager. In her new position, she is responsible for scheduling and coordinating company meetings and events, addressing benefit and other HR concerns, maintaining office supply inventory and managing project traffic. This promotion is a natural progression for Michele as she becomes more embedded in the day-to-day functions required to keep our office running smoothly. Kudos, Michele!

Now, we’ll move on to our new hires. We are happy to welcome Alicia Francis to the account team as our Account Coordinator. In this role, she will be responsible for coordinating art and production schedules, preparing production and project estimates for internal and client use, assisting the account service team with various media and local store marketing projects and interacting with clients. She has recently graduated from UMSL with a BS in Business Administration and completed a research internship with Fleishman-Hillard prior to joining our team. Welcome aboard, Alicia!

Last, but certainly not least, is our new Administrative Assistant, Maggie Beattie. In addition to cheerfully greeting all visitors and phone calls, Maggie will also schedule meetings, perform administrative duties and handle all office shipping procedures. With seven years experience from California to Missouri, she has seamlessly taken over these tasks. In addition to her fulltime employment, she is also attending St. Louis Community College and is pursuing her degree in Business Management. Glad to have you here, Maggie!

AGCO Corp. Renews Contract

The Jordan Group/AdFarm partnership is pleased to announce that Georgia-based AGCO Corp. has agreed to continue the existing media planning contract for a second year. Our own Ted Haller (VP, Media Director) is leading the charge and says that this year’s planning will focus more on key markets and geography and emphasize lifestyle/hobby farmers. Jordan Group/AdFarm will also assist with digital assignments.

“AGCO Corp. is one of the largest agricultural equipment companies in the United States, so we are extremely excited to continue our work with AGCO on this assignment,” Haller said. “This assignment helps to keep our hand visible in all the agricultural markets, since AGCO is such a major player in the agricultural arena.”

Founded in 1990, AGCO Corp. is a global manufacturer of agricultural equipment and related replacement parts. AGCO offers a full product line including tractors, combines, hay tools, sprayers, forage, tillage equipment and implements, which are distributed through more than 3,000 independent dealers and distributors in more than 140 countries worldwide. AGCO products include the following well-known brands: AGCO®, Challenger®, Fendt®, Gleaner®, Hesston®, Massey Ferguson®, RoGator®, Spra-Coupe®, Sunflower®, Terra-Gator®, Valtra® and White™ Planters. AGCO provides retail financing through AGCO Finance. The company is headquartered in Duluth, Georgia, and in 2007 had net sales of $6.8 billion.

Allison Bass, manager, Challenger Marketing Communications, said AGCO was pleased with Jordan Group/AdFarm’s performance in 2007, having outsourced media planning for the first time in the company’s history. AGCO will continue to supply the advertising materials and insertion orders through its in-house agency.

“The bottom line is, AGCO feels that Jordan Group/AdFarm offered a great package and had done a stellar job in negations with the 2007 program, so AGCO is renewing the contract for 2008,” Bass said. “Jordan Group/AdFarm had gone over and above the level of expectations in terms of solving problems and finding key synergies, and AGCO was quite pleased.”

We are so excited to continue this fantastic partnership, and we look forward to growing the relationship even more in the future. For more information on our partnership with AdFarm, click here.
